Dehydrating Breather

Breathers (also called respirators) are key protective devices in the breathing path of oil-immersed transformer oil conservators. They mainly work to isolate and remove moisture and impurities in the air entering the transformer, thus protecting the performance of the insulating oil and extending the transformer’s lifespan.

Use Cases:

Widely installed: Over 90% of oil-immersed transformers at 10kV and above are equipped with breathers.

Voltage range compatibility: There are models for everything from 10kV distribution transformers to 500kV main transformers, with desiccant capacity and structural design matching different oil conservator breathing rates.

Special environments: In unmanned substations, offshore wind farms, and high-humidity areas where high reliability is required, maintenance-free breathers account for over 60% of applications.
